The lumix fz1000 s 16x optical zoom is less than that of typical bridge cameras but that s due to its sizeable 1 inch sensor which delivers a big boost in image quality.

This isn t just any old. There is a large 1 inch 20 1 megapixel 4k mos sensor with high sensitivity to provide impressive details at high isos and also defocus with a shallow depth of field. Image performance is excellent as is the build quality. Measuring 13 2 x 8 8mm 2 7x crop factor the 1 type sensor was smaller than full frame aps c and four thirds format imaging sensors and larger than the itty bitty sensors found in other point and shoot cameras and smartphones.
